A Night to Remember and Celebrate

Awestruck. The performance was impressive. I was totally captivated by the quality of the acting played by numerous people that I had known but have yet to see the art in them. One of those people was my dear sister. I was impress, yet proud as a brother. I had known that she had that gift but to see it displayed on stage was a joy to behold. Mom and Dad couldn't help but be dazzled to see their little girl on stage.

It was indeed a very emo drama. A long one as well. However, I didn't feel the time passing by. Each scene was like a chapter of a book written about the life of young and selfless girl who at her death bed never gave up living. Each minute she spend was as precious as breadcrumbs to a beggar. People around her were affected. Her brother, her very good friend and her admirer. Each of them told a story. A story of how they would react to her death. Her brother felt the guilt, her good friend felt she was not good enough, her admirer who was agonising inside. In the end, they realise that life is more than this. It was time to move on and live life to its fullest just as how Abigail had lived hers and would wanted them to live theirs as well.

The script were written beautiful taking the audience on an emotional roller coaster. There were many parts where you could not help but to feel the emotions surrounding the character that at times, tears seem to sweel up in one's eye. My mum did. However, subsequent scene soon brought laughter and joy as music and dance soon took over the stage providing a great relieve. As I sat and watched, I felt proud. This time to all that I had known from Malacca. Though our fellowship was limited to camps, I was indeed happy to see how Malacca CF have improve. It was great to know so many people with so much talents that at times you do wonder that this is all God's work. The talents and gift I see in these people encourages me that each of us are capable of so many things as long we avail ourselves and submit it to God for His works.

Overall, one cannot make comparisons to the previous NOCs as each of them are unique in their own way, thanks to the different group of people who are represented in making this event a success. Hopefully, the message from this play is able to reach the hearts of the people, giving them a glimpse as to who Christ really is. Our friend.
