Love Conquers All

Malaysian conquers at film fest. Director's quiet and elegant love story wins major award in South Korea.

This was the headlines read on page 47 in the World section. Wow! US$30,000 was the prize money. A local film maker Tan Chi Mui have set the stage again for another accomplishment in Malaysian movie. I must say we are being recognise globally for our work. Unfortunately, this is not the case in our own back yard. Though I know that art films may at times be rather slow in nature, I hope to catch a glimpse of it when it reaches our local cinemas. But before that, would be catching Rain Dogs when it opens in GSC on 26 October 2006.
